Stranger Things Premium Pinball by Stern
The Stranger Things game is licensed from Netflix. Its game play evolves
around the #1 watched streamed TV Show worldwide, viewed in 190 countries.
Our game is based on Netflix’s first 2 show seasons, the 3rd season having
been recently released. Season 4 will be released next year. Read more
about the Show’s critical acclaim, popularity and story in the attached
press release.
As described in the press release, Stranger Things is about the
supernatural events taking place in small town Indiana, near the Hawkins
National Laboratory. Pinball designer Brian Eddy brings Stranger Things to
life in the silver ball world. Brian is famous for his great games, Attack
from Mars and Medieval Madness. After a 20 year hiatus, while active in
on-line video game design including President of a significant company,
Brian relights his passion – pinball game design – with this great title.
When you play Stranger Things, you will agree Brian still has his pinball
design chops.
Stranger Things has plenty of what keeps the ball wild – great ramps,
spinning and stand up targets, DEMODOG spell out mode, multiple modes
derived from Season 1 and Season 2 scenes, various multiballs, Stranger
Things upside down feature, and More.
More includes a 4 bank resettable memory drop target assembly in the sweet
spot middle of the playfield. Spell WILL. Spell RUN! The big ramp behind
the target, arted to represent the show’s Hawkins National Laboratory,
drops down to expose the Demogorgon bash toy. Shoot in its mouth.
On the Premium and LE, we replace the target, ramp and other art with white
screen material. A first ever, Stanger Things uses a video projector to
display more show video, instructions, drop target letters on the ramps,
targets, playfield. Fantastic for a Sci-Fi game based in such a mysterious
show.
When the Premium/LE player spells WILL RUN! with the memory resettable drop
targets, the ramp comes down to expose the even better, powered shaking
Demogorgon.
Add to all of that, on the Premium/LE back panel is the gravity defying
magnetic Telekinetic multiple ball lock. Shoot the left ramp to jump 1 – 2
- 3 balls on to the magnet.
All of this is augmented with Stranger Things show film clips, Stranger
Things show theme song, rendered LCD graphics, and speech by actor David
Harbour (Police Chief Jim Hopper).
